Kindergarten
Religion:
Children in kindergarten learn that God is our Father who loves us. They learn to make the sign of the cross.
Mathematics:
Children learn number recognition, simple addition and subtraction by using objects, patterning, comparing, and solve simple verbal problems.
Science:
Children learn basic scientific concepts such as plants and animals are living things that grow and reproduce. They look at the weather and seasons.
Social Studies:

First grade students learn more about plants, animals, weather, and the earth. In addition, they study energy, force, and simple machines.

Children receive the sacraments of Penance and Eucharist for the first time. They learn to pray an Act of Contrition and experience spontaneous prayer.
Language Arts:
Students build on previous knowledge of parts of speech. Verbs, adverbs, and sentence structure are added. Students become familiar with the main idea, main characters, sequential order, title, author, illustrator, and summarizing through book reports and various forms of literature.
Mathematics:
Students work on rapid recall of addition and subtraction of facts through 20. They continue to learn about time, money, and measurement. They identify congruent shapes, patterning, and problem solving.
Science:
Second grade students classify seeds and plants. They learn about fossils, dinosaurs, magnets, sound, matter, water, earth and space.
Social Studies:
Students learn about their communities. They use maps and globes and learn more about American history.

Language Arts:
Students develop mastery over irregular forms of the different parts of speech. They are introduced to sentence fragments, transposed/inverted sentences, and compound and run-on sentences. Students continue to build on their knowledge of parts of a story while identifying similes and personification through various forms of literature.
Mathematics:
Students learn multiplication of a 2,3,4 digit factor by a 2,3 digit factor, and division by a 2 digit divisor with and without remainders. They solve equations with missing factors and estimate products and quotients. They explore, estimate, and verify measurements of ounces, pounds, grams, and kilograms.
Science:
Fourth grade students become familiar with light, heat energy, matter, earth science, and air. In addition, they are introduced to the body systems.
Social Studies:
Students learn more about map skills, the components of Pennsylvania and the United States geography, history, and civics. They examine in greater detail the fifty states.

Science:
Fifth grade students examine in greater detail the parts of a cell. They learn the classification system for animals and study atoms. In addition, they learn about motion, energy resources, earth and space, and focus on the respiratory and circulatory systems of the body.
Social Studies:
Students focus on American history. They begin with pre-historic and continue through the age of exploration and colonization of the United States. T hey are introduced to the American Revolution.

Students learn about parts of speech and syntax on a more in-depth level. Principal parts of verbs including form, use, tense, and voice are also developed. Students continue to work on components of a story through the writing process.
Mathematics:
Students read and write decimals to the millionths and estimate quotients of decimal numbers. They convert a decimal to a percent, a fraction to a percent, and compute what percent one number is of another.
Science:
Sixth grade students examine atoms, elements, molecules, mixtures and compounds, acids, bases, and neutrals. they learn about electricity, heat energy, simple machines, and complex machines.
Social Studies:
Students focus on ancient civilizations. They study the Middle Ages, Modern Europe, and both World Wars.

Social Studies:
